Charles University, Prague, Czechia, 17–19 June 2021
Experimental philosophy groups active all around Europe have agreed to join forces and establish a model of one big annual European experimental philosophy event. Last year we had to go online and move the first official event to 2021. The Faculty of Science of Charles University, the Institute of Philosophy, the Institute of State and Law and the Institute of Computer Science of the Czech Academy of Sciences (the founding institutions of the Karel Čapek Center for Values in Science and Technology), and the University of Zurich are proud to host the 1st Xphi Europe in June 2021.
The conference was originally planned to be a hybrid event taking place from 17th till 19th June, 2021 at the Charles University, Prague, Czechia, and online. Given the fact that the Covid-19 situation is very serious at the moment (especially in the Czech Republic) and that we are not able to predict whether it will be possible to host any event in June at the Faculty of Science, Charles University (which is now completely closed for students), the organizers have decided to move the conference completely online. Thus, no physical presence at the conference will be possible and a purely online version of the conference will take place at the originally planned dates, i.e. 17th-19th June 2021. Our website will be regularly updated for any news.
We believe moving the conference online is still a fantastic alternative in order to share all our research within and beyond the XPhi community and that it will be at least as successful as the Online XPhi Europe Conference we organised last year.

What piece of advice would you provide to someone who is thinking about giving delta 8 a shot?
I would advise against giving up on delta 8. It’s an incredibly powerful cannabinoid that has a lot of potential medical benefits. From what I can tell, the main reason people are giving up on delta 8 is because they don’t think it works as well as THC or CBD. But I think that’s because they’re not using it in the right way. THC and delta 8 are great for treating certain conditions, but they’re not as versatile as delta 8. Delta 8 is a great choice for people who want to enjoy the benefits of cannabis without getting high. It’s also a good choice for people who want to reduce their intake of THC or CBD.
Have you ever tried the oil that contains CBD?
I haven’t tried CBD oil, but I’m familiar with it. CBD oil is made from the cannabis plant, and it contains a compound called cannabidiol (CBD). CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it doesn’t produce the “high” associated with marijuana. CBD has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, as well as potential benefits for anxiety and epilepsy. There is some evidence that cbd oil may help treat seizures in people with epilepsy, and there are anecdotal reports that it helps relieve anxiety and pain. More research is needed to determine whether CBD has any other benefits and whether it’s safe to use long-term.
